AMC has announced it has ordered a third series for The Walking Dead!
The Walking Dead is based on a comic book series written by Robert Kirkman. The horror drama is a tv series that shows months and years of a zombie apocalypse with only a group of survivors who try to stay safe and find a secure home.
The new series will consist of 10 episodes and will be a part of the two other series The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. Writer Matt Negrete will serve as show-runner and co-created the project with Scott Gimple.
According to Sarah Barnett, the president of the company’s entertainment networks, the new series will center around “two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”
The new series is set to premiere on AMC in 2020 with production starting this summer! Let us know if you’re excited!
