Fox is introducing a new animated comedy series titled Duncanville. Fox announced that it ordered 13 episodes of the show, which will be produced by Amy Poehler. The will include the voicing of Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and Wiz Khalifa. It will be written by writers Mike and Jully Scully- known from The Simpsons and The Carmichael Show.
Duncanville will center around the life of Duncan, a 15-year-old boy, his friends and his family. Amy will play voice of Duncan, as well as his mom, Annie. The show will premier on Fox sometime between 2019-2020.
Michael Thorn, President, Fox Broadcasting Company said in a statement, “Duncanville is one of the freshest animated concepts we’ve seen, and has an insane pedigree of comedic talent across the board. We’ve enjoyed a long, incredible run with Mike and Julie, and everything Amy does is pure genius. Having the voice talents of Rashida and Wiz join her makes this show the complete package. I can’t wait to have them all together when we add Duncanville to our growing animated slate.”
