David Bowers Set To Direct ‘Rugrats’ Live-Action Film!

Paramount has hired David Bowers as the director for the upcoming live-action/CG hybrid movie Rugrats.

David Bowers is known for directing three of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies. He was also an animator and director for the films Flushed Away and Astro Boy.

Rugrats the movie is being produced by Karen Rosenfelt, Brian Robbins, and Gabor Csupo with writer David Goodman.

Rugrats was an animated children’s television series that followed a group of toddlers who go on adventures. The show first aired in 1991 and ran for nine seasons with 176 episodes becoming one of the most popular television shows ever! Behind the voices are actors Elizabeth Daily (Tommy), Christine Cavanaugh (Chuckie), Kath Soucie (Lil and Phil DeVille), Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles) and many more!
