There’s been a lot of talk about bringing back the hit show Making the Band on social media and Diddy has finally spoken! Making the Band is coming back to MTV!
“MTV and I are back together again!! Making the Band is coming back bigger, bolder and more cutting edge. MTB on MTV was the pioneer of reality TV. We're going to bring that supernatural energy back to the format and bring the world it's next global superstars," Diddy said in a statement.
Making the Band started on ABC in 2000 when Lou Pearlman, who managed the Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync, launched the show and created the boy band O-Town. Three seasons later, Diddy took over and discovered groups including Danity Kane, Day 26, and Da Band.
Now, the competition show will be back on MTV in 2020! Casting will begin Monday across all social media platforms -- Instagram, YouTube and Twitter -- by video submissions.
We can't wait to see the new talent that will arise from the show! Let us know, are you here for the revival of Making the Band?
