I guess Recess is NOT over!
It looks like the 90s TV show Recess is getting a live-action remake thanks to independent filmmakers Jerome Yoo and Kent Donguines!
The Vancouver production team announced a non-profit fan film of the original cartoon show. The remake will follow the kids of Third Street Elementary School as teenagers in high school.
If you can remember, Recess revolved around six fourth-graders at Third Street School who protect their playground, learn important lessons and grow together. Now, the live-action will update us on what the crew has been up to in high school where they will tackle issues like love, peer pressure, social media, identity and more!
When it comes to casting Benjamin Wadsworth will play TJ, Sean Depner as Mikey, Louriza Tronco as Spinelli, Lillian Doucet-Roche as Gretchen, Fritzy-Klevans Destine as Vince, Clive Holloway as Gus, Adam DiMarco as Randall, and Sydney Scotia, Emilija Baranac and Kelcey Mawema as The Ashleys.
Recess will be released for FREE in August! We look forward to watching the remake, do you? Let us know what you think!
