Next In TV & Film: ‘Hocus Pocus’ Sequel In Development, The ‘Joker’ Making History + More

Yup! You heard it right, the classic 1993 film Hocus Pocus has a sequel that’s in development with Disney Plus.

The original spooky comedy movie, “starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as a trio of witch sisters who have been cursed since 1693 in Salem, Ma. The witches are are inadvertently resurrected 300 years later by a boy whose family has moved from Los Angeles to Salem.”

According to reports, the sequel will have a 20th century feel to it and the three witches will discover that halloween is a holiday. As on now, Bettle Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are not apart of the sequel, but reportedly Disney hopes the three will jump on board!

According to reports, the movie is set to make HISTORY! It’s on its way to becoming the highest grossing rated R movie of all time.

Reportedly, “the Joaquin Phoenix pic is poised to make at least $464 million after global theatrical, TV and home entertainment windows, and it could be more if the worldwide box office for the Todd Phillips-directed movie exceeds $900M.”

A lot of people are awaiting the highly anticipated “Coming 2 America” which is a sequel to the 1988 film “Coming to America” starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall.

The sequel is set to be released in 2020, but if you were expecting Eriq La Salle to be starring in it, you’ll be disappointed to hear that he won’t.

Eriq played the iconic role of Darryl Jenks in the film, but won’t return to reprise that “soul glow.” When asked if he’d be returning, he simply said “no.” He continued, “I’ve already given you an answer. No.”
