Updated: Oct 24, 2018

Every year WBLS-FM, HOT97-FM, and WLIB-AM holds the world’s largest expo, specially designed for the ladies. Circle of Sisters is about uplifting and empowering women of color, as well as coming together to inspire one another.

The convention is held at the Jacob Javits convention center, in New York City. Annually, C.O.S brings together the most influential artist, celebrities, politicians, and entertainers for a fun-filled and also educational event.

For the last 15 years, Circle of Sisters has been known for their amazing vendors. I mean everything from hair products to some of the dopiest-fashions. Circle of Sisters had it all, you better be careful ladies. You’re liable to break the bank at this year’s C.O.S! Aside from the show-stopping vendors, C.O.S provides so much more! There are always so many insightful panels, where everyone in the attendance can walk away with something they didn’t come in with.

This year is was even more special, as Circle of Sisters and Next Jeneration introduced its first ever film festival! Yup! A film festival- especially geared towards the lady film makers of the world! (How exciting is that??).

JenFromBK held a panel discussion focusing on "diversifying content within the TV and film world." The panel, 'How Diversity Was Changing Film and Tv,' was moderated by JenFromBK and including panelist from television networks such as B.E.T, Starz, Nickelodeon, ABC and more.
