Oprah Winfrey Will Interview The Central Park Five On Netflix Special!

As many of you know, Ava DuVernay’s four-part Netflix series When They See Us released on May 31st.

When They See Us is based on a true story where five black and latino men - Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise - known as the “Central Park Five” were wrongfully convicted of raping a white female jogger in Central Park of April 1989.

Now, Oprah Winfrey will sit down with the five men for an upcoming special on Netflix. Oprah Winfrey Presents When They See Us Now will feature an interview with the five men and Ava DuVernay discussing the case and the series. It will also feature a conversation with executive producers Jane Rosenthal and Berry Wlesh, as well as cast members Niecy Nash, Michael K. Williams, Joshua FaJackson, Asante Blackk, Caleel Harris, Ethan Herisse, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Freddy Miyares and Justin Cunningham.

The special will premiere on Netflix and OWN on June 12th at 10pm. Let us know if you will be watching and how you feel about the series on Netflix.
