It is exciting to announce Space Jam 2 finally has a release date! Warner Bros. has set July 16, 2021 as the release date and filming will begin this summer. Terence Nance is the director with Justin Lin and Ryan Coogler as producers.

Basketball star, LeBron James, will take over for Michael Jordan - as a human basketball player who joins forces with the Looney Tunes to win a basketball game against aliens.

James expressed, "The Space Jam collaboration is so much more than just me and the Looney Tunes getting together and doing this movie. It's so much bigger. I'd just love for kids to understand how empowered they can feel and how empowered they can be if they don't just give up on their dreams. And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people."

The first Space Jam was released in 1996 and is still one of the most popular and nostalgic films over the years. It remains the highest-grossed basketball movie ever made with $230 million worldwide. It is expected Space Jam 2 will not be any different!

This is a long-awaited sequel and we look forward to keeping up with the details for the release of Space Jam 2!
